Drennan Red Range Power Carp 8.0m Pole

Drennan Red Range Power Carp 8.0m Pole

The Drennan Red Range Power Carp 8.0m Pole is an ultra-strong and rigid carp pole designed for anglers targeting hard-fighting carp on commercial fisheries and other stillwaters. Equally at home fishing in open water or working along the margins, this powerful 8m pole provides the strength and control required for modern carp fishing while remaining practical and straightforward to use.

Supplied with a fully elasticated 2m carp kit, complete with an integrated side pull roller, connector and PTFE bush, the Drennan Red Range Power Carp 8.0m Pole arrives ready for serious carp fishing. The kit is fitted with Drennan’s 2.2mm Purple Power Pull elastic, rated 15 to 17, providing the power required to confidently tackle carp of all sizes.

Whether you’re targeting fish down the margins, fishing towards an island or presenting a bait in open water, this is a purpose-built pole designed to cope with the demands of commercial carp fishing.

Ultra-Strong and Rigid Carp Pole

Strength is one of the most important qualities in a dedicated carp pole, particularly when targeting powerful fish at relatively short range. The Drennan Red Range Power Carp 8.0m Pole has been designed with this firmly in mind.

Its ultra-strong construction provides the confidence needed when a hooked carp powers away from the swim, while the rigidity of the pole helps maintain positive control over rigs and presentation.

This combination makes the pole suitable for carp of all sizes, rather than limiting it to either smaller commercial fish or occasional margin work.

At 8 metres, it also provides useful additional reach compared with shorter margin poles, allowing anglers to explore more of the swim while retaining the strength and control expected from a dedicated power carp pole.

Ideal for Open Water and Margin Fishing

The Drennan Red Range Power Carp 8.0m Pole has been designed to perform both in open water and down the margins, making it a versatile choice for commercial fishery anglers.

Fishing the margins can produce some of the most exciting sport on a commercial venue, but hooking powerful carp close to the bank places considerable demands on both pole and elastic. The strong construction of the Power Carp provides the reserves required to cope with these situations.

The 8m length also opens up a wider range of options. It can be used for close-range margin work when fish move into the edges or fished farther out when carp are feeding away from the bank.

This versatility allows anglers to adapt their approach as conditions and fish behaviour change throughout a session.

Fully Elasticated 2m Carp Kit

A major advantage of the Drennan Red Range Power Carp 8.0m Pole is the inclusion of a fully elasticated 2m carp kit.

The kit features an integrated side pull roller, allowing the angler to take greater control of the elastic when playing fish. A side puller can be particularly useful when a carp has been brought within landing-net range, enabling additional elastic to be tensioned and helping bring the fish under control.

Drennan also supplies the kit with a connector and PTFE bush, creating a practical setup that is ready for carp fishing without requiring the angler to separately source the principal elastic components.

Purple Power Pull Elastic

The supplied carp kit is fitted with 2.2mm diameter Purple Power Pull elastic, carrying a 15 to 17 rating.

This powerful elastic complements the strong construction of the pole and is designed for handling hard-fighting carp. Combined with the integrated side pull roller, it gives the angler a versatile system for controlling powerful fish while still allowing the elastic to do its job during the fight.

For anglers who want a dedicated commercial carp setup without having to elasticate the supplied kit themselves, this ready-fitted arrangement is a particularly useful feature.

A Practical 8m Commercial Carp Pole

The combination of strength, rigidity and an 8m overall length makes the Drennan Red Range Power Carp 8.0m Pole a practical choice for a wide variety of commercial fishery situations.

It provides enough reach for fishing beyond the immediate margins while remaining purpose-built for the demands of carp fishing. This makes it suitable for anglers who want one strong pole capable of covering several key areas of a typical commercial swim.

Rather than being restricted to close-range margin fishing, the additional length allows you to target fish farther out before switching to the margins as carp move closer to the bank.

Compatible Cupping Kit Available Separately

For anglers wanting to accurately introduce feed using a pole cup, a compatible cupping kit is available separately.

The cupping kit is compatible across several models in the Drennan Red Range, including the 3m, 4m and 5m Carp Master poles as well as the 6m and 8m Power Carp poles.

This shared compatibility can be particularly useful for anglers who already own another compatible Red Range pole or who plan to add additional models to their setup.
