Drennan Specialist Specimen Landing Nets

Drennan Specialist Specimen Landing Nets

The Drennan Specialist Specimen Landing Nets are strong, reliable and fish-friendly landing nets designed for anglers targeting a wide variety of specimen coarse fish. Available in 50cm, 60cm and 70cm sizes, the range provides a suitable option for everything from general specimen fishing through to targeting larger, hard-fighting species such as barbel, tench, bream and carp.

Built to withstand regular use on the bank, the Drennan Specialist Specimen Landing Nets combine a strong D-section alloy frame with a durable metal spreader block. This robust construction provides excellent strength and rigidity while keeping the overall net practical and easy to handle when landing fish.

Strong D-Section Alloy Frame

At the heart of each net is a tough D-section alloy frame. The profile provides excellent strength without adding unnecessary weight, helping the net retain its shape when manoeuvring larger fish into the mesh.

This makes the Drennan Specialist Specimen Landing Nets particularly well suited to demanding specimen fishing situations. Whether you are netting a powerful river barbel in flowing water, a large tench amongst marginal weed or a carp at close quarters, the rigid frame provides the confidence needed at that crucial final stage of the fight.

A strong metal spreader block connects the frame securely and adds further durability. This dependable construction is designed for anglers who want tackle capable of handling repeated use throughout the season.

Soft, Fish-Friendly Olive Green Mesh

Fish care is an important consideration when choosing any landing net, and the Drennan Specialist Specimen Landing Nets feature a soft olive green mesh designed to be gentle on fish.

The mesh provides an excellent combination of durability and fish-friendly performance, making these nets suitable for catch-and-release specimen fishing. Its subtle olive green colour also gives the net a smart, understated appearance that blends naturally with bankside surroundings.

Drennan has selected an optimum mesh depth that provides plenty of room for safely accommodating larger fish without creating an unnecessarily deep or cumbersome net.

The mesh depth also makes the net suitable for short-term fish retention, allowing an angler to keep a landed fish safely in the water for a brief period while preparing an unhooking mat, camera or weighing equipment. Fish should always be retained responsibly and for the minimum amount of time necessary.

Three Sizes for Different Styles of Fishing

With three sizes available, there is a Drennan Specialist Specimen Landing Net to suit a broad range of coarse and specimen fishing situations.

The 50cm landing net is a compact and manageable choice for general specimen fishing and situations where a particularly large net is unnecessary. It is ideal when targeting species such as tench, bream and other good-sized coarse fish.

Stepping up to the 60cm version provides additional capacity and makes an excellent all-round specimen landing net. This size is particularly useful for anglers who regularly target larger tench, barbel, bream and modest-sized carp.

For anglers specifically targeting larger specimens, the 70cm Drennan Specialist Specimen Landing Net offers the greatest amount of space. Its larger frame makes it an excellent choice for specimen barbel and carp fishing where additional net capacity can make landing a powerful fish considerably easier.

Dependable Specimen Fishing Performance

Combining a strong D-section alloy frame, durable metal spreader block and soft fish-friendly mesh, the Drennan Specialist Specimen Landing Nets offer the strength and practicality required by serious coarse and specimen anglers.

Their straightforward, robust construction means there are no unnecessary complications. Instead, these nets concentrate on the things that matter most: strength, dependable handling and responsible fish care.

Available in 50cm, 60cm and 70cm, the Drennan Specialist Specimen Landing Nets are an excellent choice for anglers looking for a quality landing net for barbel, tench, bream, carp and other specimen coarse fish. Whether fishing rivers, lakes, gravel pits or commercial fisheries, they provide a strong and dependable solution for safely bringing your catch to the bank.
